What's new in version 6.9
EndianOS 6.9
The latest release brings more visibility and control to distributed IT and OT networks. New features focus on secure remote access, network flexibility, and streamlined gateway management.
- Session Management & Recording: Every remote session on the endian switchboard can now require explicit approval before it starts. Sessions are automatically recorded for auditing and compliance. Recordings can be stored in S3-compatible storage for scalable, long-term retention.
- Layer 2 VPN: Users and technicians get on-demand Layer 2 access to remote networks, as if they were on-site. This enables support for SCADA systems, legacy protocols, and devices that do not support standard TCP/IP. No permanent tunnel required.
- Gateway Onboarding: Onboarding new gateways is faster and less error-prone. Improved process visibility, USB provisioning, and the Endian Management Center give administrators full control over gateway configuration and lifecycle management.
- Kernel Upgrade to Linux 6.6 LTS: All products now run on Linux kernel 6.6 LTS. Better performance, improved hardware compatibility, and stronger system stability across the board.
