"As digitisation continues, networks are expanding rapidly. Organisations need to manage more users, IT systems and OT infrastructure than ever before. This latest update to EndianOS strengthens our Secure Digital Platform to meet these challenges, enabling organisations to scale easily, quickly and, most importantly, securely," said Raphael Vallazza, CEO of Endian.
The Endian Secure Digital Platform is an integrated solution that combines Management Tools, Security Gateways and secure Endpoint Connectivity. It connects and protects IT and OT environments, enabling secure remote access and user management based on zero-trust principles. The platform runs on EndianOS, a hardened, security-focused Linux-based operating system.
Seamless Authentication with Existing Identity Providers
Access control is an essential part of any security strategy. The more users and systems involved, the more complex management becomes - and the greater the risk of errors or security breaches.
EndianOS 6.8 introduces OAuth2.0-based authentication, allowing organisations to leverage existing identity services such as Microsoft Entra ID or Auth0. When users log in with their existing accounts, all permissions from the identity service are automatically applied. This eliminates the need to create new user accounts or manage duplicate sets of permissions, making access transparent and secure without adding complexity.
Understanding and Controlling Growing Networks
Digitalization leads to more connected devices and larger networks. The more visibility you have, the easier it is to stay in control.
EndianOS 6.8 includes a new high-performance application detection and control engine, developed in collaboration with network experts at ntop. Using deep packet inspection, the engine identifies and classifies traffic from over 400 IT and OT protocols in near real-time with minimal system or network impact. This enables more accurate network traffic analysis, better policy enforcement and increased visibility in both office and production environments.
Simplified User Management
As networks grow, so does the number of users. That's why EndianOS 6.8 improves the performance and scalability of user and group management. New features include a streamlined process for creating and editing users, unified search and filtering, and efficient bulk editing capabilities.
Modernized Certificate Management
Secure communication in IT and OT networks requires digital certificates—and reliable management. As infrastructure becomes more complex, so does certificate handling.
EndianOS 6.8 introduces a completely redesigned certificate management engine that supports external providers such as Let's Encrypt and ZeroSSL. It enables simplified, automated certificate handling. A new bus architecture improves performance and ensures scalability for future features. A modern, intuitive interface makes it easy to issue, import and export certificates without compromising control or security.
Secure and Future-Ready
This release strengthens the Endian Secure Digital Platform and paves the way for further growth. In addition to high scalability, the platform is IEC 62443 4-2, 3-3 at SL2 and NIS2 compliant, giving organisations the confidence to meet today's and tomorrow's cyber security standards.
