Services Engineer

The Service Engineer (Technical Support & Operations) is responsible for the implementation, delivery, maintenance, and optimization of Endian solutions for partners and customers.
They ensure that every deployed system operates securely, reliably, and efficiently, serving as a key technical point of contact during service operations and maintenance.
This role requires a hands-on, proactive, and customer-focused approach, ensuring service continuity, partner satisfaction, and operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, integrate, and maintain Endian products and services
  • Ensure system uptime, availability, backups, patching, and proactive monitoring
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with a focus on root cause analysis, prevention, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service quality and consistency
  • Document technical activities and maintain clear, structured communication with partners and internal teams
  • Identify optimization and automation opportunities and contribute to process improvement
  • Conduct or participate in partner and customer meetings, training sessions, and service reviews to ensure correct adoption and effective use of the Endian platform

Profile and skills

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, VPNs)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts (firewalls, ZTNA, IDS/IPS, threat prevention)
  • Experience with virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Proxmox, Docker, or similar)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios)
  • Basic scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible)
  • Experience with IT service management tools (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and ISO 27001 principles for IT service management and information security
  • Ability to coordinate across technical teams and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve services
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and customer interaction skills
  • Excellent command of English and Italian (German is a plus)
