"I am working as a volunteer for a non-profit project in the rural village of Las Mangas in Honduras and we offer an after-school program to children between 9 and 19 years of age: some of our students use the computer lab after class to run a Internet café which is also attended by the guests of the nearby eco-lodge: our students wanted to provide them with wireless network as part of the Internet cafè offering.
So we started looking for a software solution that would allow us to monitor and control the use of our wireless network. The Endian UTM with its integrated Hotspot-Module was the answer. We can define accounts with unlimited access for instructors and certain students and at the same time give short-time access to visitors. Especially the students running the Internet-café like these features; as the program shows them the exact time for each visitor and calculates the costs. Also we as the network administrators appreciate the endless possibilities – like spam-filter, firewall and Web-filters, to name a few – which Endian offers.
