Like any airport, Bolzano ABD has to ensure maximum availability of all its services, and it needs to be "online" 24/24h, 365 days/year. Among the vital criteria of ABD Airport were the management of of the devices for passeneger boarding as well as VPN connections with external companies.
Würth Phoenix, who is dealing since several years with the management of ABD infrastructure, has recently introduced WÜRTHPHOENIX NetEye as a tool of remote System Monitoring. This solution is perfectly integrated with the IT infrastructure and it is now directly connected to all the management and operative processes. In this way a control and a guarantee of the constant quality of all the elements and the company activities is ensured. An integral part of the service is the proactive resolution by the Service Desk of Würt Phoenix System Integration of the issues that are reported by NetEye. Moreover, the technical staff of ABD Airport is automatically notified by e-mail about the exceeding of critical thresholds, such as temperature increase or backup line activation.
Given the importance of these services availability, a high reliability solutions has been set: two Endian UTM Mercury in a “active – passive” configuration. If one node goes down, the other automatically start, inheriting all the services. The project has been completed by introducing also the hardware and services of Endian UTM Appliances in the monitoring strategy for ABD airport.
