[un]defined09 - Merano Arts Festival
[un]defined09 is a multimedia arts festival that connects art, culture and social commitment. The name of the festival: [un]defined indicates the performative and process-driven orientation of this event. It is the festival's purpose to stimulate spontaneity and the notion of improvisation within general parameters. Actions and interventions by artists, actors and actresses, authors, musicians and architects are welcome.
Time Frame: The Festival opens on the 8th of August 2009 and concludes on the 22nd of the same month. Thus, the creative participants should begin their work on the 1st of August.
Venue: The building „Palazzina Rivoir“ and surrounding square of the Francesco Rossi Casern in Merano/Maia Bassa, via Palade 83. See Google Maps!
Events: exhibitions, open studios and creative workshops, musical events, cinema and the installation of sculptural information boards in the inner city – to be elaborated by local artists and architecture students of the Technical University of Vienna TU Wien.
Festivals inside the Festival: The popular „Meran09 Music Aid Emergency & Los Quinchos“ and the charity open air „JuBeCo“, organized by 3 youth center will take place this year at the [un]defined location.
